What you can look forward to Deputy General Manager – Software Engineering (Braking/Steering Domain): 

• The Deputy General Manager (DGM) will lead and manage the software engineering organization responsible for Base Software (BSW), Product Software (PSW), and application interfaces in the Braking/Steering domain. This role requires deep technical experience in embedded automotive systems along with strong leadership to guide cross functional teams, ensure delivery excellence, and drive technical strategy.The DGM will serve as the senior technical and management authority responsible for high level decision making, stakeholder alignment, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with ZF processes and customer expectations.
• 15+ years of experience in embedded automotive software development, preferably in Braking/Steering domain. Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR architectures, Base Software, Product Software, and automotive ECU software design.Solid understanding of communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS, OBD).Proven experience with multicore microcontrollers, RTOS, low level drivers, and system-level debugging.
• Strong familiarity with software development processes and standards (e.g., ZF standards, ASPICE, ISO 26262).Good exposure to system engineering, vehicle-level validation, and cross-domain dependencies.
• Ability to lead and mentor experienced team members.Strong stakeholder management experience with OEM customers and cross-functional internal teams.

Technical Leadership & Strategy

Provide overall technical direction to Base SW, Product SW, and application interface teams.
Define and guide software architecture strategies for Braking/Steering products.

 Delivery Ownership & Execution Excellence

Oversee end to end software delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and scope.
Review and approve key technical deliverables across competencies (BSW, PSW, Integration)

Customer & Stakeholder Management

Act as senior technical and managerial point of contact for customer escalations, reviews, and planning.
Support the project team in clarifying open items with customers and resolving technical challenges.

Risk, Issue & Escalation Management

Identify and mitigate project-level technical risks proactively.
Oversee investigation of critical issues, ensuring fast and effective resolution.
