Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in plant at Hangzhou.

What you can look forward to as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer:

• E-Motor manufacturing planning activities within Region Hangzhou, China to support internal and external customers, including but not limited to pre-planning conceptualization and capital investment analyses, specification development, equipment vendor selection, installation/commissioning of manufacturing equipment (e.g. first run-off), and production releases of equipment and manufacturing procedures.
• Develop capital models for equipment cost estimation activities; analyze cost/pricing differences between new investment and equipment changeovers.
  Work as interface to e-Motor manufacturing experts in headquarter in Germany to develop e-Motor manufacturing processes such as: PIN-Bending, Laser welding, Injection molding etc and implement in the Hangzhou plant.
• Conduct and lead planning activities such as DFM, P-FMEA, Cycle time calculation etc. in project phase.
• Complete vendor assessments for selection initiatives through on-site visits and performance analyses.Ensure implementation of planning phase for equipment installations in the plant related to pre-series and launch management projects in coordination with the e-Motor manufacturing planning department in Germany.
• Establish planning and corrective action procedures for production and maintenance teams to ensure minimal operation downtime and commercial impact for line stoppages or cycle times.
• Support change management processes regarding launch management timing and engineering change implications (i.e. quotations, validations, timing, communications to affected departments/groups, etc.).
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Ensure regional business unit compliance with all TS16949 and ISO-14001 requirements, ZF corporate policies, and divisional directives.
  
  

Your profile as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer:

• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing role within background in automotive industry.
• Experience of product and equipment development cycles, and managing equipment suppliers both new and legacy equipment.
• Strong engineering background and experience working on international projects.
• Fluent in both written and oral English, Geman is plus.
