Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague in R&D centre at our location in Huadu, Guangzhou.


Your tasks:


  • Support project team to coordinate all turning parts related engineering work following ZF GDPIM/C40 procedure in product development: prototype/production drawing release, control plan, DRBFM or DEFMA, DVP&R and problem resolving.
  • Core and Application design for CD-EPS/Steering by wire turning parts, conduct design reviews with global design, project team and suppliers to ensure product design meeting customer requirement, ZF standards and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Support VAVE activities such like alternative supplier development and low-cost development; create engineering documents for component/sub-system level: tech design review, DRBFM, test plan and validation report.
  • Support SDE in supplier development.
  • Support plant to resolve quality issue and improve product design.


Your Profile:


  • Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering.
  • 3 or more years of experience in mechanical related design or manufacturing. Experience in machining(turning) parts is a plus.
  • Excellent proficiency in reading and creating mechanical drawings by CATIA. Good understanding and utilization of geometric tolerances in drawing: GD&T, tolerance stackup, etc.
  • Strong ability of mechanical system failure analysis, and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of quality system in automotive industry is a plus: DFMEA/PFMEA, control plan, DVP/R, 8D, 6 sigma, Red X, etc.
  • Good slef-managment, communication skills and strong continuous improvement willing.
  • Basic oral and written English, proficiency is preferred.
