Application Engineer

We are currently expanding our R&D teams in China and looking for new colleagues who will join our team at our location Shanghai.

Your tasks:

• To manage brake systems customer (VW in China) application projects (including Foudation Brake, EBB, ESC, IBC product applications) in AP market.
• To establish and execute brake system development/validation testing plan together with internal and external teams (customers) for the responsible projects
• To interface with customers to understand customers’ requirements and to communicate with customers through informal and formal presentations and meetings.
• To interface and closely work with FB&BC product engineering teams to define  product proposals and system/packaging analysis for A/P applications
• To support sales team to development new customers and business opportunities
• To interface and oversea communication, closely work with and support global brake product development teams for product development to ensure the customers requirements are met
• To work closely with program management team to ensure project is running smoothly
• To support OEM production launch.
• To on-stie support for customer trouble shooting during Vehicle test and building during development phase.
• To maintain and establish good relationships with customers
• To understand and follow ZF product and application development process

Your profile:

• Must have 3+ years of work experience in product applications and system engineering in automotive chassis system products, preferably in braking-related systems and products
• Must have good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English languages
• Must have good problem solving skills
• Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) and prepared to work hard and maybe overtime
• Preferred to have vehicle application experience and oversea communication experience.
• Preferred to have good understanding of the product application and development process
• Preferred to have knowledge and experience in product design, implementation, system integration and testing
