About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in our Research & Development team at our location in Monterrey! The Chassis Solutions Division of ZF North America offers application specific solutions for a variety of different automotive Steering, Braking, Suspension and Chassis Components. Continued growth in our Monterrey office has created an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team!

What you can look forward to as Foundation Brakes Designer:

• Design and release components, models, and assemblies in CAD (2D + 3D) to meet packaging, structural, thermal and performance requirements
• Execute and/or coordinate engineering design changes
• Manage ZF's CAD deliverables internally and in the customer's databases
• Interact with product engineers and customers to assure CAD deliverables and quality standards are met
• Perform package studies, GD&T analysis and tolerance stack-up studies
• Support vehicle concept packaging studies and create corresponding presentation documentation to support new business opportunities

Your Profile as Foundation Brakes Designer:

• Minimum Associate Degree in CAD, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable
• 3+ years of automotive design engineering experience, preferably in chassis/brake design
• Must have experience in Catia or similar mechanical design software (solid modeling, assemblies and drafting) and customer CAD data management
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T and design guidelines
• Working knowledge of Windchill PLM a plus
• Ability to create and read techical documentation
• Experience/knowledge of mechanical principles
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a team environment and share knowledge with others, effective verbal and written communication skills; problem-solving skills
