About the team:

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Test & Validation Lab team in Monterrey. The Chassis Solutions Division of ZF North America offers application-specific solutions for a variety of automotive steering, braking, suspension, and chassis components. Continued growth in our Monterrey office has created an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team.

 

What you can look forward to as the ET&V Supervisor:

  • Provide overall leadership for the ET&V labs, coordinating site-wide test activities, priorities, resources, and operational needs across applicable test functions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of ET&V lab infrastructure and equipment in coordination with local and global suppliers, ensuring technical requirements, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
  • Lead activities required to obtain and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and applicable customer/OEM laboratory approvals for the Monterrey ET&V site.
  • Assign work, balance staffing needs, and identify training and employee development opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with other global ZF ET&V locations to implement standardized processes, procedures, methodologies, and operational best practices.
  • Drive execution of ET&V projects, testing activities, and related departmental responsibilities to meet business and customer commitments.
  • Develop cost estimates and resource requirements for current and future business needs.
  • Develop and manage capital investment plans, departmental budgets, staffing, and other resources required to support laboratory operations.
  • Prepare technical proposals and responses to customer requirements. Perform risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and operational-efficiency initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment, including implementation of applicable safety and 5S standards.

 

Your profile as a Supervisor:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience within a test, validation, or quality organization, including significant hands-on experience in a laboratory or test environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive electronic component test and validation requirements.
  • Familiarity with test specifications from major automotive OEMs and applicable international standards, including ISO, ASTM, SAE, CISPR, IEC, and DIN.
  • Practical understanding of automotive test equipment, laboratory infrastructure, and test procedures in the areas of climatic/environmental, mechanical, electrical, and EMC testing.
  • Demonstrated project management and technical leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational and capital budgeting, including the ability to develop business cases supporting laboratory investment and resource needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Business-fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, concise, and effective visual presentations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
