About the Team 

The team consists of all levels of operations. They will work directly with Site Leaders, EHS local contacts, production and maintenance managers as well as floor supervisors and direct labor. In additional to regional responsibilities within North America, the team extends to global alignment with European counterparts.

 

Main accountabilities, responsibilities and deliverables

  • Lead the implementation of ZF EHS programs and improve EHS performance, reduce risk, secure compliance with national laws and regulations, corporate, customer and other stakeholder requirements, reduce cost
  • Delivery of various EHS training events and workshops
  • Completion of internal & external EHS Functional, Compliance and MS Audits, EHS CIP management
  • Developing, maintaining & supporting plant level EHS Manager/Officer network in the region
  • Organization of (multiple) country/region workshops to review performance, share best practices & lessons learned, provide updates on regulatory developments, etc.
  • Checking and verifying plant level EHS reporting into ZF EHS data management and reporting systems and applications
  • Acting as key EHS Point of Contact for relevant Regional Management
  • Identify and replicate best practices throughout ZF 
  • Share lessons learned, including corrective actions on divisional level and with the global team

 

Required skills and experience / main competencies

  • Degree or specific education in Safety and/or Environmental Engineering and Management or closely related field
  • Min. 5  years experience in operational environment with strong emphasis on safety / environmental management
  • Thorough working knowledge and understanding of EHS compliance regulations and in relation to developing processes/practices related to key EHS programs
  • Experience in implementing and managing EHS Management System requirements including ISO EHS Standard Requirements
  • Results/process/problem solving –

  • Strong communication skills in English + at least one regional language
