The Engineer III-Cost will be responsible for analyzing current business processes and identifying areas where cost savings can be achieved. The individual will be expected to develop and implement strategies that reduce costs, while maintaining quality and performance standards. The Engineer III-Cost will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to drive cost optimization initiatives that benefit the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough cost analyses on current business processes and identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
• Develop and implement strategies for cost savings that align with organizational goals and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, assess risks and opportunities, and determine action plans
• Provide regular reporting and updates on cost savings initiatives to management
• Drive cost optimization efforts across the organization, including process improvement, supplier negotiations, and contract management
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in the development of budgets and forecasts, and provide input on cost savings targets
• Continuously monitor and evaluate cost-saving strategies to ensure they are effective and sustainable

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cost savings, procurement, or finance
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings through process improvement and supplier negotiations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify cost-saving opportunities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
• Knowledge of procurement and contract management best practices is a plus
