About the team:
The intern position will involve the completion of improvement projects within operations. The position will also involve any other responisibilities as described by management in order to improve and/or support operations.
What you can look forward to as a Quality Intern:
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all departments
- Perform activities in coordination with other ZFTG departments related to process improvement, evaluation, and documentation.
- Develop, monitor, analyze, and improve KPIs for assigned projects.
- Utilize basic quality tools along with six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Assist with quality department procedure and work instruction development as needed.
- Participates in departmental meetings to aid in organizational planning, reaching objectives, and reviewing activities, results, and policies.
- Follow all company and customer policies and procedures.
- Must support manufacturing’s goal of continuous improvement.
Your Profile as a Quality Intern:
- Must currently be enrolled in college as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
- Must have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale
- Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication (to include presentations).
- Fluent application of position related software (Microsoft Office)
- Good time management with strong organizational and task management skills.
- Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner, and self-starter who takes pride in their work product
- Interest in Automotive Manufacturing
