About the team:
This team is a cross functional team that works with engineering & operations groups to plan for new measurement equipment and manage all existing measurement equipment in the facility. We work with many different gauge suppliers to find the best measurement device that fits productions needs and meets qualities requirements. We plan, schedule, commission, and develop reoccurring maintenance/calibration plans. The final step is maintaining which consists of managing reoccurring calibrations, MSA studies, and maintaining spare parts in the MRO room. The team currently has 4 engineers, & 7 quality techs.
What you can look forward to as a quality intern:
Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
Learning and working with different software such as Axalant, SAP, Minitab, PowerBi, etc.
Assist upper level of Quality Engineers on capability/MSA studies on new and existing processes. Review and analyze results. Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
Work with many different Gage suppliers which could help develop their professional network.
Working with Gauge Instructions which could help with process improvements
Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Support the cross-functional team to resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials related issues.
Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
Your profile as a quality intern:
Bachelor’s degree in technical subject
Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiar with Minitab
Proven creativity and analytical methods with a high-level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
