ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLC has job openings for the position of Program Purchasing Team Leader based out of its location in Gray Court, SC.

Job Duties:  Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers/supply base; Lead team of buyers (e.g., train, assign work, complete performance reviews, review work & methodologies executed by buyers); Oversee Bill of Material cost for programs or set of parts; Develop cost-saving methods & opportunities to promote business productivity and supplier competitiveness(e.g., through VA/VE methods, quoting, negotiations, sourcing analyses); Manage methods/materials for total cost management, quality system conformance, & on-time delivery performance; Prepare, present reports and recommendations to management; Track & oversee cost status across commodities while maintaining agreements with suppliers; Develop tracking methods for total cost management & cost structure analysis; Develop tracking methods for costs and statuses of negotiations, in addition to other tooling tracking for in-production materials; Serve as primary interface & escalation point for communication & dispute resolutions between suppliers & customer; Lead cross-functional project teams in materials management; Lead continuous improvement programs; and Lead compliance with all ISO/TS 16949 or ISO 9001:2000, QS9000, and VDA requirements. Position requires up to 25% travel to domestic and international locations that cannot be anticipated. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering (any), Economics, or related field. We will accept a Bachelor’s degree equivalency in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering (any), Economics, or related field that is earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. The position also requires 3 years of experience in any occupation in which purchasing or cost engineering experience for the automotive industry was gained, and demonstrated experience with: Supplier development; Supplier management; Supplier quality; Cost estimation; Cost analysis; Product costing; Supply chain logistics; SupplyOn; SWAT; MAPS; Pure/S4; SAP; Axalant; Using QAF/TAF to understand cost breakdown; Using calculated costs target by costs engineers; Commodities, materials, and related production interfaces/processes; Reading blueprints; APQP/PPAP documentation; and Cost improvement/containment.
