Job Description
About the team: Leads and manages production departmental activities to meet and/or exceed customer and company objectives.
What you can look forward to as a Production Superintendent:
· Operate as a strategic member of the management team, driving customer-focused results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale while supporting continuous business improvement.
· Lead and manage all manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality parts.
· Develop and implement manufacturing processes using lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Direct and oversee exempt and non-exempt personnel (300+), including hiring, development, performance management, and workforce planning.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers to achieve shared objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Ensure compliance with production systems, company policies, and industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14000), while promoting safety, housekeeping, and corporate principles.
· Establish departmental goals, monitor performance metrics, manage budgets/resources, and implement corrective actions to meet business plan targets.
· Drive employee development through training, communication, certification, and engagement while ensuring proper documentation, payroll approvals, and adherence to HR processes.
Your profile as a Production Superintendent:
· Bachelor’s degree with 6–8+ years of progressive experience in operations or manufacturing environments.
· 3+ years of project management and/or supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capability.
· Advanced knowledge of manufacturing/operations concepts, plant operations management, and lean principles.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage daily activities effectively.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.) and other business systems.
· Proven ability to lead, train, and develop employees, including effective use of production/manufacturing equipment.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
· Fluent in English with willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
