Machining Plant Quality Engineer

Position Summary: Active participation in major problem-solving projects and teams. Training of ZF staff on advanced problem-solving tools and techniques. Creates and improves data management systems to minimize risk and identifies potential projects and problem areas. Active support on the creation and preparation of training material and other documents. Proactive assistance on potential critical projects or customer complaints

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports and complies with established Company’s Corporate Principles and goals.
  • Understand and comply with Quality requirements such as automotive requirements
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability, and ability to comply with customer specifications and company’s specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence.
  • Interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&TActive work in problem solving in cooperation all Quality Engineers
  • Support and creation of Training for basic and advanced Problem-Solving methodologies/, develop and motivate employees, creation and maintaining training material for PS methodologies. Guidance to manufacturing personnel in the proper application of problem-solving methodology.
  • Creation and development of methodologies and templates for problem solving based on each specific customer request and requirement.
  • Support and works independently to Create, implement, document, and maintain permanent corrective actions for internal and external 8Ds.
  • Project oriented root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Active contribution Technical and organizational projects for APS2 leadership and if needed for (quality-) engineers per leadership prioritization.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve KPIs for APS2 and its impact to main ZFTG KPI, creation of pareto charts

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience (internship/co-op included)
  • Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proven creativity and analytical methods with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent English language competency – both verbal and written
