Job Description

About the team: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing & prioritizing assets (manpower, materials, machine availability & other resources) as required to support the manufacturing facility. This person should also be able to facilitate the programs/processes for asset reliability & continuous improvement. This person will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Gray Court, SC facilty. 
What to look forward to as a Maintenance Supervisor: 
•    Lead Maintenance Operations: Manage and direct mechanical/electrical technicians, MRO/Crib Attendants, and Maintenance Planners to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation.
•    Asset Care & Preventive Maintenance: Oversee cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and predictive analysis while developing preventive maintenance programs with cross-functional teams to improve machine uptime.
•    Training & Development: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate training for maintenance staff to ensure qualification, compliance, and continuous development.
•    Resource & Project Coordination: Plan materials, support, and manpower for daily operations, shutdowns, and projects, including tool refurbishment and use of SAP PM and Axalant systems.
•    Compliance & Safety: Enforce adherence to safety, environmental, and ISO/IATF standards; maintain First Responder certification and administer corporate programs.
•    Process Improvement & Reliability: Identify and implement improvements to reduce failures, enhance equipment reliability, and control maintenance costs including warranty and MRO tracking.
•    Shift & Communication Management: Facilitate communication between shifts, prioritize work orders, approve timecards, and manage performance, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
•    Operational Readiness & Technical Proficiency: Ensure equipment, tools, and components are maintained to specifications; interpret blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
Your profile as a Maintenance Supervisor:
•    Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with 2–5+ years of relevant maintenance or manufacturing experience.
•    Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of maintenance concepts, machining, and production equipment repair.
•    Leadership & Training: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and train team members on equipment maintenance.
•    Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve maintenance-related issues.
•    Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
•    Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and general computer usage.
•    Language Skills: Competency in the English language, both written and verbal.
•    Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, to meet operational demands.
