About the Position

The 3rd Shift Logistics Superintendent oversees and directs all logistics operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost effective flow of materials, equipment, and products. This role provides strong leadership to logistics teams, ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborates closely with internal and external partners to optimize overall supply chain performance.

 

What you can look forward to as the Logistics Superintendent:

  • Serve as a strategic member of the ZF management team with a customer focused approach to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. 
  • Oversee daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory, and transportation. 
  • Standardize workflows, develop procedures, and ensure consistent operational execution. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop logistics supervisors and staff, including scheduling, workload planning, and performance evaluations. 
  • Ensure logistics activities align with production schedules, customer delivery requirements, and operational goals. 
  • Support department staffing decisions, including oversight of third party headcount and services. 
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, staffing changes, and process or product/service modifications. 
  • Assist or lead physical inventories and supervise incoming/outgoing shipping accuracy and completeness.


Your Profile as Logistics Superintendent:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6-8+ years of in-depth knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within logistics.
  • 3+ years direct supervisory experience and proven leadership abilities
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now, or in the future
