Job Description

About the team: The Engineering Supervisor – Service & Maintenance  is responsible to manage and coordinate the team of Engineers and Technicians to fulfill their tasks in support of customer service, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of automated test systems throughout North America with a core focus on maintenance at their home plant. The position ensures high levels of customer satisfaction while driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, service profitability, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the incumbent serves as a technical resource supporting complex customer issues, strategic service projects, root cause investigations, system upgrades, and development of service processes and standards.

 

What you can look forward to as an Engineering Supervisor:

•    Team Leadership & Operational Management of a service hub located within a customer plant.
•    Manage and develop a team of Test Systems Service Engineers and Technicians to ensure effective support of customer service activities and achievement of business objectives.
•    Establish team goals, priorities, resource planning, workload distribution, and performance expectations.
•    Provide coaching, mentoring, technical guidance, and professional development opportunities.
•    Monitor service performance metrics, project status, customer satisfaction, and service profitability.
•    Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and succession planning activities.
•    Coordinate service activities across internal engineering, sales, project management, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.
•    Providing customer training and technical support.
•    Supporting spare parts identification, quotations, service cost analysis, and field service planning.
•    Ensuring compliance with applicable quality, safety, customer requirements, and all company policies.
•    Interface directly with customers regarding escalated service issues and strategic service projects.
•    Support continuous improvement efforts focused on service efficiency, quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
•    Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training, industry engagement, and professional development.
•    Perform other duties as assigned

 

Your profile as an Engineering Supervisor:

•    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related engineering field.
•    8-10+ years of experience as a service engineer within an automated test systems, industrial automation, manufacturing systems, EOL test systems, or related technical service environments.
•    1+ years’ experience in team leadership
•    Strong knowledge of control systems, industrial automation platforms, and test system architectures.
•    Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or equivalent automation platforms.
•    Experience with industrial robotic systems such as Fanuc, Kuka, or similar.
•    Familiar with process related projects
•    Strong leadership skills
