Job Description

About the team:

The Quality Team leads and actively works on major problem-solving projects for process, product, and procedures stability within the plant as well as externally at the supplier side. This team is part of our Division E, Electrified Powertrain Technology group based out of Gray Court, South Carolina. 

 

What you can look forward to as Engineer III - Plant Quality:

  • Definition of tasks and active work in problem solving in cooperation all Quality Engineers
  • Definition and active work on top projects, project details and finalization of projects in cooperation with a defined team.
  • Active involvement on creation of Training for basic and advanced Problem-Solving methodologies/, develop and motivate employees, creation and maintaining training material for PS methodologies.
  • Guidance to manufacturing personnel in the proper application of problem-solving methodology.
  • Evaluation, review, Creation, development of methodologies and templates for problem solving based on each specific customer request and requirement.
  • Understand and comply with Quality requirements such as automotive requirements
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability, and ability to comply with customer specifications and company’s specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence.
  • Interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&T).

 

Your profile as Engineer III-Plant Quality:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 5-6 years of experience with strong functional/product knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in problem solving methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proven creativity and analytical methods (i.e. six sigma) with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
