Position Responsibilities:
- Leads assigned team to meet or exceed safety, quality, and delivery and cost standards within assigned work area.
- Serves as key contact for team members in daily work assignments.
- Operate all equipment in accordance with standard work practices within assigned work area.
- Maintain a safe work environment with assigned work area.
- Meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery and cost standards within assigned work area.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all equipment and processes in assigned work area.
- Team Leader / Trainer for assigned work area according to certification process.
- Work closely with all team members to build a team environment which supports the customer in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Communicates issues which hinder achievement of safety, quality, deliver, and cost and/or morale goals.
- Satisfactorily perform all essential functions and if necessary fill in for an Operator Level I, II and III.
- Conform to all safety rules based on Job Safety Analysis (JSA) studies within assigned work area.
- Train Level I, II and III Operators in accordance with Quality Standards, SOP's, JSA's and ISO Standard Work Instructions in assigned work area.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
- Meet all Essential Skills and Experience requirements for an Operator Level I, II and III.
- Completed required pre-requisites for team leader role by skills and experience.
Preferred Skills and experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years manufacturing leadership in a team leader role.
- Manufacturing experience as a Team Leader or ZF defined Team Leader training.
- Manufacturing Skills Standards Council program @ Piedmont Tech or similar manufacturing skills program.
