¡Come and join to the Passive Safety Systems Division as Packaging Engineer at La Laguna SBS Plant!
Responsibilities
- Update packaging instructions for all products and plant lines.
- Maintain current class 9 certification on packaging and that material is certified for shipment.
- Comply with and document savings generated during the review period for proper evaluation by supervisor
- Coordinate the use of plastic and cardboard packaging with customers and suppliers
- Create and update packaging instructions in SAP system
- Meet customer's packaging specifications
- Evaluate supplier packaging on a form to comply with company's material receipt approval protocol
- Work with the supplier to optimize the packaging to be used
- Create and update packaging manufacturing instructions on the lines, whenever there is an engineering change or new product.
- Continually evaluate incoming and outgoing material to review packaging savings opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Advanced English
- 1 to 3 years of experience in production, container logistics, packaging design, packaging savings analysis, experience in automotive industry, preferably belts and airbag modules.
- SAP and Windchill systems (advanced).
- Knowledge of packaging analysis and savings, automotive standards on returnable and disposable packaging sizes and designs.
- Knowledge of packaging concepts, processes, systems, estimated packaging cost, customers, suppliers and returnable packaging cost evaluation.
- Problem solving tools
- Knowledge of IATF standard
- Cost analysis and cost savings, handling of customer portals such as CMS, GPP, DDL, GM online collaboration tool, esuppierconnect FCA, CRATES, CDR Mopar & production quoting.
