Sustainability Engineer Materials Management (M/F/D)

We are strengthening our team within the Sustainability MM area at our location in Gebze

 

Tasks:   

  • Support development of Scope 3U decarbonization roadmap 2040 for Production Material & Non-Production-Material together with divisional Engineering & Commodity Purchasing and participate in corporate and divisional work packages
  • Planning, carry out & follow up of ZF supplier decarbonization dialogues & frequent sustainability dialogues with suppliers on levers and innovations (in close collaboration with R&D, Program Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, …) to reduce CO2e footprint in the supply chain, incl. multiplying to similar suppliers
  • Support customer acquisitions with focus on sustainability requirements and contribute to sourcing decisions on all levels
  • Support PCF & LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) calculation during GDPEP and support all other sustainability activities in the supply chain like environment, social and governance (ESG) to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations
  • Be a role model, act as a multiplicator and support introduction and implementation of high-visibility divisional projects to promote sustainability topics to spread awareness, engagement and achieve sustainability targets

 

Profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree in Engineering or Sustainability or similar & Function specific knowledge and multiple years of experience in Materials Management preferably in the Automotive industry
  • Strategic focus and experience working in matrix Organization & High interest on sustainability, sustainability standards and corresponding legislations
  • Affinity towards performance management with focus on sustainability specific KPI’s & High level of commitment and self-initiative, creativity, and ability to communicate
  • Good communication skills in fluent in both English and Turkish as well as experience in international collaboration is preferred
  • Living or willing to live in Asian side of İstanbul or Kocaeli (Gebze & İzmit) & no military obligation for male candidates
