Production Supervisor

About the team: The Production Supervisor is responsible for training and directing hourly employees in a safe productive manner, ensuring quality product is produced, and delivery of product to the customer on time. Maintains planned productivity levels, and meets operational and quality targets.

•    Maintaining a culture where safety is the top most priority.  This includes maintaining proper housekeeping, enforcing safety policies and procedures, managing and reporting safety injuries, and resolving safety issues as they arise.
•    Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
•    Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summary reports.
•    Effectively motivate the workforce to achieve optimal safety, quality, and production results.
•    Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
•    Monitoring, evaluating, and documenting performance of employees.  Includes providing positive feedback to associates as well as addressing performance issues immediately once they are known.
•    Conduct annual performance review process for all associates.
•    Resolves personnel problems in a timely and efficient manner by investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending preventive action, and providing follow up and closure for the employee.

Your profile as a Production Supervisor:

•    HS Diploma / GED required. 
•    2-4 years of related manufacturing experience.
•    Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) with 1 to 2 years of supervisor experience.
•    Previous leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
•    English language competency required.
•    Strong leadership qualities – including coaching, communication, self-directed, process improvement, etc.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
