Material Handler III

Position Summary: Incumbent will perform one of the following functions as their main responsibility and may cross train into the other area of responsibility:

 

  • Maintains a formal cycle count program using the ABC method to record random accuracy of components.
  • Perform additional cycle counts as needed to resolve inventory accuracy.
  • Reconcile cycle count inaccuracy, make necessary adjustments within SAP and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Analyze, identify and correct causes of discrepancies between physical count and computer records. Involve other departments or functions as necessary.
  • Maintain cycle count database and reports and meet cycle count performance measurement.
  • Count parts to determine if unmatched invoices need to be received into system.
  • Participate in corrective action and problem solving meetings relative to cycle count issues.
  • Carry out dock audits of vendors, as required.
  • Assist in locating misplaced inventory.
  • Responsible for analyzing, correcting, and clearing COGI.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of work related experience.

Basic English language competency required

Preferred Skills and experience:

  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • ISO9001/TS16949/ISO14001 system familiarity.
  • Understanding Lean practices.
  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or hoists.
