GA Manager and Indirect Buyer

About the team

You will be part of a collaborative Tokyo-based team that handles both indirect procurement and general affairs. The team works closely with global and regional counterparts to ensure efficient sourcing processes and administrative excellence. What you can look forward as GA Manager and Indirect Buyer:

• Manage NPM purchasing processes (from demand to PO) for assigned locations and commodities, ensuring compliance with corporate directives and legal regulations.
• Optimize local supplier base and support the implementation of global commodity strategies tailored to local business needs.
• Conduct sourcing activities (RFQ, negotiations, contracting) and secure supply of materials at best cost, quality, and lead time.
• Supervise one NPM Operations staff and ensure effective reporting of purchasing volumes, savings, and supplier performance.
• Oversee general office operations including facility management, office supplies, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure internal policy compliance, manage company documentation (seals, contracts, registrations), and handle regulatory matters.
• Supervise one General Affairs staff and coordinate cross-functional administrative support for internal stakeholders.
• Plan and execute company events, safety and disaster preparedness, and foster a positive and compliant workplace environment.

Your profile as GA Manager and Indirect Buyer: 

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 3 years of experience in Purchasing or General Affairs.
• Prior experience in Indirect Purchasing or Office Management preferred.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
• Familiarity with Japanese corporate practices, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems such as SAP or QAD is a plus.
• Background in the automotive industry or multinational work environment is advantageous.
• A proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
