About the team
You will be part of a collaborative Tokyo-based team that handles both indirect procurement and general affairs. The team works closely with global and regional counterparts to ensure efficient sourcing processes and administrative excellence. What you can look forward as GA Manager:
- Oversee general office administration including facility operations, office supplies management, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements; manage company documents such as contracts, seals, and registrations.
- Supervise General Affairs staff and coordinate administrative functions across departments to support business operations.
- Plan and implement company-wide initiatives including office safety, disaster preparedness, and employee engagement events.
- Take ownership of non-product material (NPM) procurement as part of general affairs, managing the full purchasing cycle from request to purchase order.
- Handle sourcing and negotiation with suppliers for office-related goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with global and regional procurement teams to adapt corporate purchasing strategies to local operational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and procurement KPIs, ensuring transparency, cost control, and continuous improvement within administrative purchasing.
Your profile as GA Manager:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 3 years of General Affairs or Office Mangement.
- Prior experience in Indirect Purchasing preferred.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Japanese corporate practices, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems such as SAP or QAD is a plus.
- Background in the automotive industry or multinational work environment is advantageous.
- A proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
