Thesis Machine Learning - Evaluation of Heatmaps

We are looking for a new colleague in the Machine Learning department at our location in Friedrichshafen from March/April 2020


Your tasks

  • The goal of this thesis is to develop a novel method to measure the reliability of a CNNs output at a specific time based on heat maps
  • Development of a comparison method for heat maps on camera data
  • Development of metrics to evaluate heat maps for a specific input
  • Deriving of a reliability of the CNN for a certain output from those metrics
  • Working in an industry wide collaboration project


Your profile: 

  • Study in Machine Learning / Deep Learning, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Digital Signal Processing – Master preferred 
  • Solid Programming experience and passion in coding with Python / C++
  • Experience with or strong interests in Deep Learning and PyTorch + CUDA as well as experience with Linux and ROS preferred
  • Experience with software building tool, e.g. CMake, Bazel etc. and experience with Docker preferred
  • Fluent German or English
