About the team: 
Our experienced team in Finance Germany Local GAAP (FGG) is looking for support in accounting and external reporting according to HGB. In this role, you will work in a strong local team while also having international connections to our divisions. What you can look forward to as Senior Financial Accountant (m/f/d):

• Preparation of HGB individual financial statements including notes: Responsible for the preparation and review of individual financial statements according to HGB for corporations and partnerships, including detailed notes.
• Coordination and preparation of the management report according to HGB: Creation of the management report, including comprehensive commentary on the asset, financial, and earnings situation to ensure transparent and meaningful reporting.
• Development and regular updating of HGB accounting policies: Continuous improvement and updating of internal accounting policies to ensure they meet current legal requirements and best practices.
• Analysis of the impact of legislative changes: Evaluation and implementation of the effects of new legal regulations on HGB financial statements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Technical assessment of HGB accounting issues: Conducting detailed analyses and assessments of accounting issues according to HGB and determining the appropriate accounting treatment in collaboration with the Accounting Country Champion Germany.
• Participation in projects: Active participation in various projects, to evaluate and integrate financial and accounting aspects.
• Preparation and presentation of technical topics: Creation and presentation of technical topics for internal and external committees as well as conducting training sessions to share knowledge and best practices.
• Point of contact for auditors: Main point of contact for auditors during the annual audit to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.

Your profile as a Senior Financial Accountant (m/f/d):

• Completed degree in economics with a focus on finance and accounting or a comparable qualification
• At least four years of professional experience in an international environment, ideally at a global industrial company or a renowned auditing firm
• In-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
• Experience in preparing annual financial statements including notes and management reports according to HGB
• Excellent German and English skills in both written and spoken form
• Good PC skills in MS Office, Analysis, SAP SEM BCS, and SAP 4/HANA
• Team player with strong communication skills and conceptual abilities
• Independent working style, initiative, and assertiveness
