Head of Cost Engineering (m/f/d) Technology Domain ADAS/AD

We are looking for a new colleague in the Cost Engineering Department at our location in Germany (Friedrichshafen) or US (Farmington Hills).

 
Tasks:

• Support the sustainable implementation of Cost & Emission Leadership through systematic Target Cost/Emission Management in Technology domain ADAS/AD
• Provide best practice cost & emission calculations for respective product groups. Furthermore, Support Product Cost Engineering for ‘design to cost / to emission’ activities to develop & support implementation of measures to meet the Target Cost & Emission
• Develop and execute OP Plan for the CE support needed in the technology domain as well as provide best practice calculations for R&D, Cost Down for all divisions in the technology domain
• Enhance the knowledge of CE team on technology domain and implement a systematic knowledge management and development, continuous improvement and implementation of processes, methods and tools in CE Technology Domain
• Support Corporate Sales in educating and executing cost & emission disclosures at customers

Profile:

• Successfully completed degree in Engineering science or comparable studies with several years of professional experience including leadership/ management responsibility in Cost Engineering or suitable for Cost Engineering
• Sound knowledge on costs and products in the ADAS / AD domain (Camera, Radar, Lidar, Safety Domain ECU)
• Leadership skills for leading a global team to accomplish the expected targets and ensure continuous development and empowerment of Cost Engineering
• High level of motivation, focused controlling of staff and results, strong and reliable decision making-capabilities but being able to work in teams as well
• Self-dependent way of working, strong communication skills in an international context and a high acceptance for travelling
