We reinforce our Research & Development Energy Efficiency team at our location in Friedrichshafen for an internship starting in summer semester 2023.

Your tasks as Intern in Advanced Development (m/f/d):

Research on state-of-the-art modeling techniques for thermal systems on vehicle level
Furter development of a model of the thermal system of a commercial battery electric vehicle
Simulations on selected use cases for model validation purposes
Development and application of offline and online optimal control algorithms

Your profile as Intern Advanced Development (m/f/d):

Pursuing a degree in the field of mechanical engineering, control engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable subject (a part of your internship has to be recognized as a mandatory internship by your university)
Solid knowledge in the fields of dynamic optimization and optimal control theory is required (having carried out relevant courses is desired)
Knowledge of electric and thermal system modeling as well as experience in physical modeling and simulation with Matlab/Simulink is required (experience with Modelica and Python is an advantage)
Team spirit, analytical skills, quick comprehension, solution-oriented and independent working style and strong communication skills
Good communication skills in English
