What you can look forward to as Facility Manager:
⦁ Facility Planning: Participate in planning for the distribution center’s infrastructure, ensuring optimal layout for operations, maintenance, and safety.
⦁ Infrastructure Implementation: Oversee the installation of essential infrastructure, such as electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and data networks during the construction phase.
⦁ Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Supervise the installation and commissioning of machinery, equipment, and technology required for the distribution center.
⦁ Maintenance Planning: Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure smooth operations.
⦁ Facility Upkeep: Implement regular inspections and maintenance routines to maintain the premises in excellent condition.
⦁ Safety and Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all local and EU health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and implement safety protocols.
⦁ Vendor and Contract Management: Select, negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and facility-related services.
⦁ Service Scope Definition and Management: Define the scope of services required for facility operations and maintenance, and ensure that service providers meet these requirements.
⦁ Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans for fire, natural disasters, and other critical incidents.
⦁ Energy Management: Monitor and optimize energy consumption, and implement energy-saving measures to improve sustainability.
⦁ Asset Management: Keep track of all facility assets and equipment, ensuring timely maintenance, replacements, and updates.
⦁ Budget Management: Develop and oversee the facility management budget, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Your profile as a Facility Manager (or required skills and experience):
⦁ Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management
⦁ Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
⦁ Working knowledge of human resource management principles and practices
⦁ Deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
⦁ Sound knowledge of procurement and contracts
⦁ Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
⦁ Fluent in English
