We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at ZF Active Safety Inc. LLC located in Fowlerville.  We are a proud manufacturer of vehicle stability control systems and related components.  This position will support our Machining and Assembly Departments on the midnight shift. ZF offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.   

Job Summary

Perform corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a variety of CNC Machining and post process equipment consisting of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotic systems. 
Responsibilities include:

•    Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment (i.e. cleaning, oil and filter changing, calibrating, aligning, etc.).
•    Assist in process design improvement involving product throughput, ergonomics, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
•    Perform highly skilled corrective machinery/tool maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of robotic systems, PLC, vision systems, pneumatics and more. 

 

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent and a minimum of three years related mechanical or electrical experience, or associate’s degree in related field.
  • Ability to use/operate hand tools and/or power tools, shop equipment (lathe, mills, grinder, etc.).
  • Read, understand and perceive relevant technical and non-technical material
  • Technical aptitude and strong trouble shooting ability
  • Analytical ability
  • Knowledge of Siemens/Fanuc controls
  • Knowledge of robotics/vision systems
  • Knowledge of process improvement, corrective maintenance, and preventative maintenance
  • Knowledge of CNC machining or manual machining 
  • Prior experience in a team-based management culture
  • Computer and software literate
