Position Summary: In the role of a Functional Safety Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the safety lifecycle during project development in all disciplines. With your experience, you should give guidance to project team members to maintain the safety culture. You support the development of innovative products and improvement of existing product lines like Radar, Camera and ADAS functions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage ZF’s Safety Process for AD/ADAS projects
  • Perform safety related analysis, derive and specify safety requirements and safety concepts
  • Support project team in preparing work packages as required following the safety lifecycle with respect to Systems, SW and HW engineering
  • Collaborate with the design team in the design of effective technical solutions aimed to achieve adequate robustness at System, HW and SW architectural level
  • Establish functional safety and corresponding processes within projects and business unit

 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline
  • 8+ years of related experience in automotive safety
  • Experience with ISO 26262, ISO 21448, IEC 61508
  • Experiences in Embedded Systems Design and Systems, SW or HW Engineering
  • Understanding of V-Model and convinced attitude for requirements-based development and its application in automotive industry
  • Experiences in (safety) analyses like Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA, FTA and similar
  • Experiences in automotive development cycles and processes.
