Engineer III-Electronics

This will be a technical role within our Component Engineering global team that is responsible component strategies, selection, lifecycle management, supporting various product development within ZF (Electronics & ADAS, E-Mobility)  

Responsibilities:

  • Understand Electronic component market trends and anticipating technology opportunities for improved competitiveness

  • Active engagement with components suppliers, understanding of market trends and development of technology roadmaps

  • Engage in cross-functional teams to promote supply chain risk mitigation through strategic Engineering initiatives from sourcing to launch and beyond

  • Lead efforts for Component management for both legacy and new development projects 

  • Work closely with electrical hardware design engineers to select new components based on requirements, reliability, technology and second source options

  • Maintain technical knowledge of electronic components including technologies, manufacturing processes, failure modes, etc.

  • Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and suppliers to provide technical expertise and leadership

  • Monitor electronic component industry trends and recommend preferred component selections per the technology and supplier changes in the industry.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in Electronics Engineering particularly with ADAS and E-mobility technologies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Software, Algorithm, or Systems Engineering
