We are looking to hire a Quality Manager to join our team at El Salto.

Position Summary:

Lead the plant to deliver quality excellence, customer satisfaction and drive quality culture.

Responsibilities:

• Drive ZF DNA of Quality Strategy implementation.
• Drive excellence on quality performance thru Quality KPIs.
• Product Safety Representative (PSR).
• Member of Plant Staff Management in charged to develop quality improvement strategies.
• Lead Head of Plant to perform Management Review according to ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standard.
• Drive compliance with quality management systems standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, etc.) and customer specific requirements.
• Drive quality assurance on production processes through quality controls and ensuring meeting of internal and external quality requirements of products and processes.
• Responsible to escalate quality concerns to upper management.
• Responsible of APQP/Project planning compliance according organization and customer requirements.
• Responsible of laboratory/testing scope and compliance with calibration processes according (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, etc.) and customer requirements.
• Drive resolution and prevention of customer quality concerns.
• Lead strategies to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
• Responsible of supplier quality assurance management and processes at the plant, such as supplier concern management and incoming inspection.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Non-Conformity Tickets.
• Non-Conformity Cost  (Scrap/rework/0 km/warranty).
• DNA of Quality % Performance.
• Green % and VOC.
• GDPEP/APQP Gates status/on time.
• Quality lagging indicators.

Requirements:

• Completed engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a management position in the quality area.
• Solid experience in quality processes for the automotive industry.
• Solid knowledge of Core tools (AMEF, APQP, PPAP).
• Management of IATF standard: 16949 (IAT lead and internal auditor).
• Experience in the engineering area is desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English.
• Deep understanding of Operations and Quality.
• Robust global network with Divisional, Regional and Functional Heads.
• Proven experience to successfully manage cross functional teams (direct and/or dotted reporting line teams).
• Organizational savvy.
