JOB TITLE:            Manufacturing SW Engineer (Software, Test, Cybersecurity)

 

REPORTS TO:       Global AME Manager

 

SUMMARY:

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):

  • Link between System Assembly Plant and Product Engineering for any Engineering/Software updates and all customers/all platforms.
  • Link with Global Brake Controls AME for any inline Software changes as well as with feedback about performance onsite.
  • Analyze, develop and implement End of Line Specification with Engineering. Planning and leading supporting activities in the plant (tests, tryouts).
  • Active participant in software release and industrialization process.
  • Provide technical support and coordinate software changes and updates at equipment and product. Ensure effective implementation.
  • Provide effective technical support to operational teams in regard to product performance, production testing equipment  and  model changes.
  • Lead and guide diagnostic technicians at plant.
  • Lead plant technical activities relating to problems of the product’s electric performance. Link with the Product Engineering team to assist.
  • Actively participates in design reviews and modifications of new products, sharing learned lessons of the product during the fabrication process.
  • Coordinates engineering changes and/or Software updates that affect the design and/or the product performance. Ensure that these are updated effectively in the test equipment including flashing and programming.
  • Development of process documentation for all operation with Software (flashing, EOL, calibration)
  • Makes sure 5S is maintained.
  • Leads electric/electronic related projects per customer demands and needs.
  • High commitment and capability to comply to urgent requirements per customers demands
  • Travel as required

Educational and Experience Requiremnts:

 

  • BS Degree in Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Advanced Electronics - Micro electronics (Microprocessors) experience/knowledge. (3 years desirable).
  • Knowledge of Cybernetics protection
  • Mechanical and Electric Design Interpretation experience/knowledge.- (3 years desirable)
  • Knowledge on microcontrollers programming and architecture
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
  • Technical drawings knowledge/interpretation
