About the Team

The Metrology team is part of the Quality organization and is responsible for ensuring dimensional, mechanical, optical, and measurement accuracy across all production processes. The team supports manufacturing, quality engineering, and customer requirements through advanced measurement systems and laboratory capability. Collaboration, precision, and technical expertise define the working environment. The goal is to guarantee reliable measurement results that support compliance with internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

What you can look forward to as Metrology and Laboratory Supervisor:

• Lead metrology activities ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
• Oversee measurement processes including dimensional, optical, force, torque, pressure, and mass metrology.
• Manage CMM operations and measurement programming using Calypso software.
• Ensure proper confirmation, calibration, and control of measurement equipment and gauges.
• Supervise measurement system evaluations and statistical analysis to support product and process capability.
• Provide technical guidance on GD&T, measurement systems, and coordinate systems (2D/3D).
• Support internal audits, LPA, and customer audits (e.g., VW Formel Q).
• Train and develop team capabilities aligned with ZF Quality principles, HSE, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Your Profile as Metrology and Laboratory Supervisor:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Metrology, Quality, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 months of experience; ideally 2 years in metrology roles such as Metrology Engineer.
• Advanced knowledge of metrology systems including CMM, optical systems, force, torque, dimensional tools, and surface finish equipment.
• Proficient with statistical tools (Minitab, QC-Calc) and metrology software (Calypso, Actee Pro, Gagetrack, Trapezium).
• Strong skills in GD&T, measurement units, coordinate systems, and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Understanding of ISO 17025, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CTPAT/OEA, and customer-specific standards.
• Effective leadership, problem-solving, documentation control, and audit skills.
• Intermediate English level and ability to support occasional travel.
