Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Development and optimization of assembly processes, processes and equipment concepts from the offer phase to series handover, taking lean principles into account
  • Description of assembly processes using planning methods for workflow design
  • Cooperation in axle assembly projects in planning and industrialization worldwide
  • Creation of requirement specifications/specifications for new assembly systems
  • Determination of key figures for product calculation
  • Tracking and implementation of agreed cost and deadline targets
  • Cooperation in interdisciplinary and international project teams
  • Management of subprojects for the industrialization of axle system assembly
  • Coordination of project-specific scopes with customers and suppliers
  • Support and control of machine suppliers over the entire project period
  • Monitoring, control, and final acceptance of assembly systems in the plant
  • Support of process acceptance by the customer
  • Organization of training and ensuring the transfer of know-how to the employees in the production plant
  • Discussing and negotiating work results and concepts with the customer and management

 

Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering in the field of mechanical/manufacturing technology or a comparable qualification
  • 3+ years of professional experience in assembly/production and/or assembly process planning
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of industrial planning methods and lean production methods
  • Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation within international project teams
  • Experience in the management of subprojects in the Production department
  • Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
  • Strong communication, team, moderation, and conflict management skills as well as intercultural competence
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, other foreign languages are advantageous
  • High level of readiness to engage in business travel
