Position Summary: The Analyst is responsible for the demand planning of new and existing products.  This includes providing detailed financial reporting and data analysis to senior management and executives in order to improve business processes and validate cost-driven financial strategies in support of the business unit objectives.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed monthly product mix and family forecasts of anticipated demand for both new and existing products; evaluate product performance to develop and update company goals and objectives.
  • Provide forecast to sales, operations, finance and scheduling for inclusion in the master production schedule and business plans.
  • Prepare status and related financial reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Conduct the monthly sales and operations planning meeting for the management team to validate forecasts and discuss business trends.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare the necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Analyze P&L and balance sheet accounts to evaluate operational efficiencies and budget achievement.
  • Work with Division Controller to develop corrective actions for deviation from budget.
  • Provide guidance to various internal customers to improve reporting processes, data flow, and data analysis with the intent of providing actionable information.
  • Develop processes and strategies by working with cross-functional teams; manage process initiatives to ensure business requirements are incorporated and objectives are achieved.

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of accounting, finance, and controlling processes
  • Proven technical skills in business intelligence with an in-depth understanding of customer demand planning
  • Proven ability in ad-hoc financial analysis and the generation of daily and monthly executive reports
  • Expert-level knowledge in Microsoft Office and SAP (functional)
  • Proven organizational and project management abilities
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Strong drive for teamwork with a customer-oriented approach to projects
