Senior Software Developer Engineer in Test (m/f/d)

As a Senior Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) you are part of a small highly skilled, innovative, and motivated development team in the construction and exploitation of new digital solutions for transport fleets developed using cutting edge technologies in web application and cloud computing. 

You will work with an expert back-end development team, responsible for a series of crucial services for the company, implementing cloud native, event-driven solutions to manage high volume, real time data. The team deals with the ingestion layer and represents a critical sector as it is responsible for receiving messages from devices, modifying, enriching, harmonizing and distributing them to the other modules of the platform.

This position requires a self-motivated professional with hands-on technical QA testing and automation experience. Candidates are expected to plan, design, and review test specifications to ensure full code coverage. The position requires the candidates to have more than 7 years of Software Development or Test experience in Enterprise Applications and be able to utilize their knowledge and creativity to improve efficiency in our processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and Testware for our product suite.
• Build, maintain & automate, regression and acceptance test scenarios in integration.
• Interpret test results, Identify, debug, diagnose and report bugs to the Development team.
• Build performance suites and Testing dashboards, providing regular status updates against the test plans.
• Plan and coordinate testing efforts with remote QA teams for cross functional dependencies.
• Engage with Software Development methodologies such as Scrum/ Kanban to collaborate, deliver and report during the sprint.
• Communicate effectively with the Product Management and Development teams.

Skills & Experience  

• Computer Science degree or equivalent.
• 7+ Years of experience in software development or testing.
• Must have a passion for technology with an understanding of cloud hosting technologies.
• Proficiency in any strongly typed programming languages, preferably C# or Java.
• QA automation experience on testing frameworks and industry standard tools.
• Extensive experience in testing REST APIs on microservices using Postman.
• Experience with SQL & noSQL Databases.
• Passionate about high quality, microservice based enterprise solutions.
• Detail oriented with a deep understanding of engineering best practices.
• Be process oriented while capable of managing different project priorities.
• Excellent communication skills (in English).
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and Principles

Desired Experience

• Experience of working “AGILE + DevOps” process management methodology.
• Experience in working with micro-services and component teams.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture especially AWS Serverless framework

• Being able to think creatively and analytically, breaking down problems into smaller parts and using a systematic approach to find solutions
