We're looking for someone to fill big shoes left by a departing colleague who built deep product and customer expertise in thrusters,  electronic controls and hybrid propulsion over many years. Job Description

What You Can Look Forward to as Technical Marine Sales Manager (m/f/d)

• Growing direct and indirect sales of propulsion systems, marine transmissions, controls, thrusters, hybrid systems, spare parts and technical services across your dedicated territory
• Owning the full sales cycle with shipyards, engine manufacturers and OEM partners – from technical consultation and quoting to contracting
• Becoming the go-to technical expert for integrating ZF products into marine propulsion systems: developing specifications, costing sheets and quotations for your own territory, and supporting fellow Sales Managers across other countries
• Driving OE thruster sales regionally in close cooperation with our factory in the Netherlands
• Building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers and partners
• Scouting and developing new markets and territories not yet actively covered
• Grow expertise through ZF Marine resources and support the acquisition of sales potential with additional ZF marine propulsion systems, which are not yet established in the region (Pods, surface drives, shafting, propellers)
• Shaping strategic sales plans, annual budgets and business targets together with your manager
• Representing ZF Marine at trade fairs, summits and industry events, and tracking market and competitor developments

Your Profile as Technical Marine Sales Manager (m/f/d)

• Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Naval Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5+ years of direct sales experience with marine equipment
• Solid technical grounding in marine propulsion systems and driveline components – ideally with design or applications exposure to thrusters,  electronic controls or hybrid propulsion technology
• An engineering mindset first: someone who understands the product deeply enough to identify what customers actually need, not just what's easy to sell
• Proactive, self-motivated and hands-on, with strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities under pressure
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent English, additional languages an advantage given our international customer base
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software is a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally (roughly 20–30% of your time)
