Role overview:

 

  • Being part of an international engineering team, support company and plant projects from engineering point of view.

 

Specific tasks:

 

  • Development and optimization of assembly processes and equipment concepts from the offer phase to series handover, taking lean principles into account.
  • Description of assembly processes using planning methods for workflow design
  • Participation in industrialization projects in planning and execution phases
  • Creation of specifications/specifications for assembly systems
  • Determination of key figures for the value-add calculation.
  • Tracking and execution of the agreed cost and deadline targets
  • Participation in interdisciplinary and international project teams
  • Management and support of sub-projects for the industrialization of axle system assembly
  • Coordination of project-specific work packages with customers and suppliers
  • Support and control of the machine suppliers over the entire project period
  • Monitoring, control and final acceptance of assembly systems in the factory
  • Monitoring of the process acceptance by the customer
  • Organization of training and ensuring the transfer of know-how to the employees in the production plant
  • Arguing and negotiating the work results and concepts with the customer and management

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • A completed degree as an engineer in the field of mechanical engineering/manufacturing technology or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the area of assembly/production and/or assembly process planning
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of industrial planning methods and lean production principles
  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration within international project teams
  • Experience in managing sub-projects in the production department.
  • Knowledge of using MS Office and MS Project
  • Strong communication, team, moderation, and conflict management skills as well as intercultural competence
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills, other foreign languages are an advantage.
  • High willingness to travel.
