What you can look forward to as Material Customs and Freight Coordinator:

  • Guarantee legal compliance and provide advice and control with regard to the government rules and regulations on customs and tariffs.
  • Interface with internal & external freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs brokers, customs officers & other functional areas to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Responsible for preparing the customs exemptions, customs report, Reconcile material receipts with purchase documents/bills of lading.
  • Coordinate the incoming trucks with the forwarding companies and handle freight documents.
  • Prepare, assemble and provide relevant documents for customs, including customs exemptions, customs report, etc..
  • Track and monitor the customs releases and apply as well as timely renew all licenses for the organization.
  • Generate inventory placement tickets and transfer orders to transfer material from stock to line and perform other material handling duties, if required.
  • Coordinate and schedule trucks for special inbound shipments.


Your profile as Material Customs and Freight Coordinator:

  • Minimum secondary education, preferrably vocational training as Forwarding Merchant and Customs specialist
  • Min. 3 years of professional experience in customs clearance
  • Sound understanding of local applicable laws, regulations, procedures as well as legal standards & codes
  • Ability to liaise with people of all professional level
  • Solid computer skills in MS Office and SAP
  • Working proficiency in English
