In this global role, you will directly report to the VP Materials Management Division R (Passive Safety Systems) and lead task force activities related to Materials Management. The positions offers a very good visibility to the divisional Top Management and is a “booster” for future assignments.
What you can look forward to as Materials Management Task Force Lead (m/f/d)
• Leading the cross functional task force team to manage a crisis situation related to “Purchasing”
• Task force activities take priority over the day-to-day business and report directly to the top management representatives of Div. R
• The Task Force Lead is empowered to lead activities irrespective of organizational reporting lines or hierarchies
• The task force lead steers/supervises the assigned task force teams
• Definition of actions/assignments & prioritization of tasks
• Secures progress on deliverables by jumping into concrete crisis situations
• Maintains overview of related activities/escalations and can/must oversteer
• Facilitates escalation of critical items wherever necessary (internally and externally)
• Defines coherent reporting structures for activities and operative statistics & task force KPIs (e.g., stock level, rejection rates, etc.)
• Ensures consolidated information flow to SteerCo and actively requests data/info at the supplier/customer interface, etc.
• Formulates tasks with clear responsibilities and deadlines and prioritizes tasks/issues
• Enables transparency, communication, and information flow between teams
• Develops tools / templates for an efficient process execution
Your Profile as Materials Management Task Force Lead (m/f/d):
• Degree as Bachelor of Project Management / Engineering / Business Administration / Supply Chain Management or equivalent education
• Experience in purchasing, supplier development or supply chain management
• Project management knowledge and experience as team member & project leader
• Ability 1). to manage projects across cross-functional teams, 2). to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to take charge, able to stay focused in a crisis situation, problem solver and “can-do” attitude
• Good communication, analytic thinking, self-starter skills, independent systematic working style, pro-active & creative
• Fluent English language skills (speaking and writing)
• Ability to work in diverse global teams and for travelling
• Good MS Office skills
