Position Description:
Working alongside the Supply Chain Matter Expert, you will be responsible for driving systems, process and tooling standardization across sites in NA/SA/EU and AP. Create continuous improvement environment through training; investigating issues, generating recommendations, and implementing solutions based on the use of analytical tools.
This role will act as a prime liaison between Materials, ERP systems, Operations teams to implement, maintain and improve activities related with Inbound Material activity’s, including but not limited to components planning, traceability systems, PFEP - material flow inside the plants, warehouse design and utilisation (packaging, receiving, storage, line feed and shipping).
Position Requirements:
• Determine, develop, and implement appropriate levels of automation and mechanization using financial analysis and justification.
• Analyze and develop materials management process/standards utilizing time, statistical analysis and planning tools to improve productivity & efficiency across multiple facilities in different regions.
• Partners with plants SCM/operations personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions.
• Coaches Materials Management plants personnel on measurements and daily updates of technology performance/asset utilization data.
• Works with cross functional teams to validate lessons learned, ensure proper internal documentation is performed, and assure proper implementation of corrective actions at the plant(s).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement change in the organization through use of Six Sigma and Lean principles (Training SCM personnel).
• Identify, lead and manage improvement projects for different SCM functions and process: components planning, MPR, traceability systems, material flow inside the plants, warehouse activities (receiving, storage, lines feed and shipping). Supporting PFEP development and standardisation of material control across sites.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management or Process Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience required in similar position.
• Green belt/ 6sigma, Strong data analysis, problem solving skills and mathematical ability.
• Able to travel 25% of the time.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Must be able to interact easily across all organizational sites globally.
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in implementing solutions.
• Technical skills including strong negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of ERP systems (SAP & QAD) Minitab, especially MS Excel including pivot tables and MS PowerPoint.
