We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Buyer to join our IT procurement team. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating purchasing projects for IT commodities on a global scale. You will work closely with internal stakeholders from IT as well as other business areas, ensuring alignment and collaboration to achieve procurement objectives. Your role will involve managing the entire lifecycle of purchasing projects, from demand management to contract conclusion. Additionally, you will proactively seek optimization opportunities in business relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate purchasing projects for IT commodities on a global scale.
- Align closely with internal stakeholders from IT and other business areas as required.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of purchasing projects, including active demand management (collecting, consolidating, and verifying demands).
- Handle Requests for Information/Proposal/Quotation (RFI/RFP/RFQ) processes.
- Conduct proposal analysis and align with stakeholders to determine the best course of action.
- Lead commercial negotiations and ensure successful contract conclusion.
- Proactively identify optimization possibilities for existing business relationships in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Champion pro-digitalization efforts to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a technical study (e.g., Engineering, IT).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement or IT.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills to achieve cost savings in line with purchasing targets.
- Proactive and motivated team player capable of managing multiple international projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills for negotiation, contract review, and project-related communications.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and SAP.
- Fast learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Strong organizational and work management skills to maintain an overview of tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Persistent and tenacious character when engaging in negotiations, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Excellent presentation skills and good storytelling techniques to effectively convey information and convince stakeholders.
