This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies. 

Drive automation in the ECAD domain to enhance productivity, design efficiency, and overall quality of the PCB design workflow. Provide global technical support for ECAD tools, including custom scripts, and lead the validation, configuration, and deployment of new ECAD applications for global use. Standardize ECAD processes and best practices and deliver training programs to ensure consistent adoption and effective usage by global users.

What you can look forward as a Senior Engineer - ECAD Automation (f/m/d):

• Strong hands-on experience in VB.NET, VBS scripting, Excel VBA, and automation using COM objects and developing add-ons.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support automation solutions tailored to ECAD (PCB Design) workflows for a global user base.
• Collaborate with ECAD users to gather automation requirements and deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, perform functionality testing, identify bugs, and implement fixes.
• Create comprehensive user manuals and deliver training sessions for developed tools and applications.
• Familiarity with Siemens Xpedition ECAD tool set is a plus. Experience with ECAD-PLM integrations (especially with Windchill) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps and REST API are beneficial.

Your profile as a Senior Engineer - ECAD Automation (f/m/d):

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Associate level).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development. Basic understanding of electronics is desirable.
• Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Self-motivated with a structured, analytical, and independent approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
