Program Buyer

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage all purchasing activities for execution of new programs from acquisition (RFI/RFQ), sourcing, PPAP and safe launch activities (NPI) and serial phase;
• Take and coordinate all tasks to ensure cost, quality, project milestones, prototype availability and other objectives are realized on time, and in line with business needs;
• Focus on programs of high commercial importance and very high complex electronic modules in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC), Connectivity, incl. SW and licenses;
• Support CQA and Bid-Win process, managing costed BOM and supply chain indications over complete product life-cycle;
• Drive core BOM / product development, working collaboratively with Engineering, SDE, Commodity Purchasing and Value Management Team (VMT) to ensure optimized alignment of part family strategies and cost drivers are realized;
• Generate and drive cost saving activities (VAVE) in all program phases based on experience, knowledge or lessons learned from other projects in collaboration with commodity, Value Management Team (VMT), engineering and plant teams;
• Represent program purchasing at various project teams and reviews, including PEP, Monthly Status reviews etc. and escalations as needed;
• Various supporting activities relating to material management in the product line.

Our Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Program Management, Materials/Logistics or Supply Chain preferred;

• 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Project Management role or similar;
• Experience in automotive and/or safety critical business is highly desired;
• Proficient in MS Office – Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred;
• Very good knowledge of English, verbally and written;
• Good written, communication, organizational and detail-orientated skills;
• Team player and hands-on mentality as part of a global cross functional matrix team.
