What you can look forward to as Global Commodity Buyer Functional Plastics (m/f/d):

• Strategic sourcing for Functional Plastics;
• Contribute to Commodity savings to achieve the OP targets, including generation and follow up of VAVE measures and Global Competitive Sourcing (GCS);
• Management of supply base to include renewal of agreements and assisting suppliers in problem-solving and tracking corrective actions;
• Leading supplier negotiations and prepare purchase order contracts;
• Gathering and analysis of supplier data to prepare analysis and recommendation for supplier selection, with focus on sourcing in best-cost countries;
• Management of supplier transformation including sustainability, renewable electricity roadmaps, etc.;
• Leading cross-functional part family match team;
• Maintenance of savings /inflation in the Purchasing Report System (MAPS) as well as working with Purchasing systems and tools to ensure the right data maintenance;
• Presentation of research, decisions, etc., as required, to the next level or executive management.

Your Profile as Global Commodity Buyer Functional Plastics (m/f/d):

• Bachelor or Master in Engineering / Industrial Engineering or business science;
• Min. 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferred, in the automotive industry;
• Ability to work in a global business environment;
• Assertiveness and strong communication skills in handling and negotiation with the suppliers, as well as interpersonal and cross-cultural expertise;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language;
• Good knowledge in MS Office.
