ZF ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) division designs and manufactures next- generation ECUs for automated driving vehicles. We are looking for qualified and passionate Functional Safety Engineer to build the future of the automotive industry.

What will you do at this position?

•   Perform safety analyses (safety FMEA, FMEDA / hardware metrics, FTA, etc.)
•   Work closely with the Systems Engineering, Hardware and Software Teams to cascade functional safety requirements
•   Performs impact analysis and develops safety work products to meet ISO26262 functional safety compliance
•   Support project teams in preparing work products following the safety lifecycle with respect to Systems, SW, and HW engineering
•   Develops the safety case report and safety analysis reports

To succeed in this role, you need:
•   Knowledge in the area of functional safety (ISO26262, IEC 61508)
•   Experience in safety analysis such as HARA, FMEA, and FTA, SPFM/LFM
•   Working experience from safety concept to detailed safety requirements
•   Understanding of the V-Model development process and requirements-based development
•   Knowledge of statistical methods used for reliability analysis and design of validation test regimes
•   Strong moderation and communication skills as well as organizational talent

Nice to have:

•   Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity, related standard ISO21434
•   Background in the Automotive
•   Basics of Electronics
