Job Description

As an IT Frontend Developer for automotive dataspace Catena-X, you will be actively contributing in developing ZF’s digitalization strategy driving a high level of secure products and services within ZF’s automotive and industrial divisions. You have a passion for digital products and will use your skills and new technology to bring value to our business partners.  You will be designing, consulting on and implementing the infrastructure and technical environments that support such advances.  Always striving for improvements and to learn new things your motivation and mindset will mean that you will challenge the status quo.

What you can look forward to as Frontend Developer:

• In this role you will be responsible for development while understanding the current and envisioning the future landscape, support with developing backend systems and interconnection to enterprise applications
• Develop modern web applications based on react and angular based on java api backends in the Catena-X team, drive constant exchange and coordination with the team, the department and other project teams
• Add new solutions and maintain existing applications as well as the underlying infrastructure, incl. analysis, specification, implementation of applications for Catena-X, its platform, modules and interfaces
• Driving the modernization of the deployment setup, code base and architecture, on Azure and AWS cloud-based solutions.

Your Profile as Frontend Developer:

• Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or similar qualification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development and optimizing web applications (React Angular)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is desirable, with a strong preference for Azure.
• Well-founded knowledge of software development cycle and some of the corresponding tools (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, NetBeans/IntelliJ)
• Well-founded knowledge of modern Web infrastructure under special consideration of performance, stability, safety, scalability and connectivity
• Knowledge of the (scaled) Agile approach with value-first and fail-fast principles and willing to take on the full DevOps responsibility for what we build
• Good English verbal and written communication is a must
• A great team player and a strong collaborator.

Beneficial:

• NoSQL databases knowledge
• Backend experience within usage of Java/Python
• At least 1 year experience in developing REST applications
• Ability to administrate infrastructure components (DevOps)
• Knowledge of German.
