Export Control Officer

The Compliance/Foreign Trade is strengthening the team in the Region EMEA & India. 

Your tasks:
• Contact for all export control related issues in EMEA and India in coordination with the Regional Export Control Officer;
• Independent and responsible monitoring, tracking, checking and decision-making of all export control relevant processes on the basis of the applicable legal regulations,
including U.S. Re-export law, anti-terrorism and sanctions regulations;
• Independent and responsible export control classification of goods and services including their maintenance in IT-Systems;
• Decision on the licensing requirement and application for export licenses to the relevant authorities, if necessary in coordination with local external providers;
• Support and advice for legal entities, BUs and plants in EMEA and India on export control relevant topics;
• Participation in and implementation of projects;
• Creation and execution of trainings for employees;
• Support of the foreign trade corporate strategy.

Your profile:
• Bachelor’s degree with about 4 years of related work experience;
• Good working knowledge of export control competencies;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including fluent English language skills;
• Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and advocacy skills;
• Team spirit, attention to detail and high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality;
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn and use other systems and software packages.

Nice to have:
• Knowledge of SAP;
• Experience in an international environment (e.g. India).
